I started teaching at Hartpury in August 2013, and prior to this obtained my Master’s degree in Equine Science, and BSc (Hons) Equestrian Sports Science from UWE Hartpury. I have since obtained my PGCHE in Teaching and Learning from UWE. I am a Professional Member of British Association for Sport and Exercise Science (BASES), member of the Centre for Recording Achievement (CRA) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). My primary research interest is Sport Psychology, specifically within equestrian sport with an ongoing focus on psychological responses to injury, mental health and resilience and self-esteem. I have 3 peer-reviewed papers published from 2015 - 2018. I have run Teaching & Learning workshops at two conferences in 2016/17, including CLT & Solstice Conference at Edge Hill University and Hartpury Research Conference as well as attended the CRA National Tutoring Seminar this academic year. I have presented posters and presentations at a range of Sport, Equine, Animal and Pedagogical conferences, including International Society of Equitation Science, BASES-FEPSAC & BASES Student Conference, British Society of Animal Sciences, Alltech-Hartpury Student Conference, Division of Sport & Exercise Psychology (British Psychological Society), and CLT & Solstice Conference.
