Personal profile

Personal profile

Having completed an honours degree in Equine Veterinary Nursing Science and qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), I have a keen interest in a wide range of medical conditions and diagnostic imaging. I have also completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.

I have worked in both equine specialist practice, mixed (small and large animal) and small animal practice and have gained a broad understanding of nursing care for a range of species. I am specifically interested in post-operative recovery and analgesia in both equine and domestic companion animals, in the future I have aspirations to further study this topic. Currently I additionally locum in practice to further develop my clinical skills.

Previously, I have presented my research at the BVNA (British Veterinary Nursing Association) Congress discussing the occurrence of hypothermia post-operatively in horses. I have also supported students through this process at Congress.
