Dr Mary Farrell is a Principal Lecturer for Research and Knowledge Exchange. Mary assists with the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the College’s research and knowledge exchange priorities. She also teaches on the MRes programmes in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and Anthrozoology.

Research interests

Mary’s research interests include the behavioural ecology of wild mammals with particular focus on sexual selection and sexual conflict, understanding the crossroads between animal ethics and animal welfare and the extent, scope, and content of human obligations to nonhuman animals and the welfare of captive animals
