Overview
Sarah Sandford, Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy, Member of the Society of Sports Therapy.
Research interests: Dynamic taping, Foot Posture Index and navicular drop, the athletic shoulder, the post partum athlete.
Teaching interests: Trauma management, examination and assessment, clinic.
I have combined a successful career in education with my skills and knowledge as a Sports Therapist to work as a senior lecturer in higher education. In addition to this is I continue to work as a practitioner, with much time spent working in a clinical setting, as well as in Rugby Union, with a strong focus on sports trauma management.
More recently I have taken an interest in how sports therapy can link to the post partum athlete. I am currently studying to become a Post Partum Corrective Exercise Specialist, and i hope to focus some of my research and clinical time in this area.
